Summer Schools

First Position's summer school is held every year in the 3rd week of August, and runs from Monday to Friday.

It is a wonderful chance for the pupils to learn many different styles of dance and various aspects of theatre and the performing arts, whilst having lots of fun and making new friends.

Each day starts at 9.30a.m. with a complete group warm up, after which the children are split into two, the juniors age 6 - 11 years and seniors age 12 - 18 years, where they continue classes until 4.30p.m.

Drama
Audition Technique
Limbering
Musical Theatre
Street
Costume Design
Stage Makeup
Latin American
Choreography
and much, much more.

This all takes place at the Winton YMCA under the guidance of Miss Natalie. Classes are taught by professional dancers and choreographers from across the country giving the children a valuable insight into the world of dance and theatre.

At the end of the week parents are invited to watch a performance, covering everything the children have learnt.

The summer school in 2010 will cost £100 per child and £90 for siblings.
