Other Performances
Selected First Position students also have the opportunity to perform annually at the Bournemouth Pavilion in 'A Chance to Dance'; this involves 10 dance schools from around the Dorset and Hampshire areas.
In 2006 First Position were asked to join the 'Western Association of Ballet Schools', who also present performances annually at the Pavilion and Layard Theatres, along with many other fantastic opportunities for the pupils.
In May 2006, 42 First Position pupils had the once in a lifetime opportunity of performing in "Stars in the Round" at the Royal Albert Hall. This being a truly wonderful experience for all involved, and indeed a great chance for Miss Natalie to choreograph 'in the round'.
In August 2007 First Position performed at Disneyland Paris, taking centre stage in Fantasyland. The school will be revisiting Disney Paris to perform again in August 2010. These two great events are promoted by Mardi Gras.
